How Many Visitor's Does Our Blog Have?

Welcome Grade 2 Families to 1/2F Keay!!
It is so wonderful to have you back in room 135!

The blog is going to continue to be our information portal and I'd be so grateful if you could check it out weekly (as you did last year so well) to make sure you have the most recent and up to date information about what is happening in our room!

Under this DEUIXEME ANNEE page, I will post relevant information for only my Grade 2 students. You can always access the main information that applies to all students in the class under the HOME page but I am going to try to separate as best I can and filter what you need to know specifically for your child in Grade 2. Hope that makes sense.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns or just want to chat, please give me a call or write me a note in the agenda!

Welcome back!
Madame Keay

  2. Just wanted to let you know that I have put a HOMEWORK calendar for October in your child's agenda. It is glued to the agenda on to the October Calendar. There is a sticky note to flag it for you and your child.

Your child is expected to complete most of the activities on this calendar. Most of these activities can be completed in the car en route to extra curriculars, while making supper or during dinner time conversation. Please SIGN OFF in the box when your child has completed an activity to show me that they are working on Grade 2 skills at home. At the end of the month, the kids will show me their calendars full of signatures and I will acknowledge their hard work!

Any questions please let me know!

  3. Please let me know how the following home activities are working for your child!
    1. Our take home reading program (green folder/red duotang)
    2. Études de mots
    3. Monthly Calendar with suggested activities on it
    4. Friday Journals (where you and your child write to eachother)

A side note, Friday Journals can be written in French or in English. If you are able to read and write in French, please encourage your child to write in French for their Friday Journals every other week!

I'm eager to hear how you find these are working for your family!
