As I am sure your children have been letting you know, we have been working with colours; primary and secondary. We have also been discussing lines and the different formations that exist. We have also been discussing patterns and have been exploring sorting.
Next week we are going to be doing an Art project around colour, shape, line, patterns and sorting. I am in need of some materials from home to help support this project. Can you please send in with your child items of the following nature. Anything from the list or other items you can think of will do in all colours of the rainbow! We need items from all of the following colours to make this project work.
RED ORANGE YELLOW GREEN BLUE PURPLE PINK WHITE BLACK BROWN GREY NATURAL/BEIGE
1. Feathers
2. buttons
3. small containers (plastic and light weight as this will be posted up on a wall) (like cream cheese or yogurt containers)
4. pipe cleaners
5. straws
6. toy cars
7. unicoloured socks
8. coloured magnets
9. blocks that maybe need to find a recycled use
10. coloured or clear bottle caps
11. clip art pictures in colour
Basically any item that is light weight, can be hot glued and fits into one of the colour categories listed above
I'll leave the rest of the ideas up to your child's imagination!
These items are going to be hot glued down, so please don't send in anything that you are going to want back at home.
I look forward to the unique items that your families can come up with!
Thanks for your help!
Madame Keay
